THE MD/CEO & CHIEF ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR OF THE FEDERATION

Engr. Olusegun M. Adesayo FNSE is the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) and the Chief Electrical Inspector of the Federation. He brings over 20 years of progressive experience in Nigeria’s Electricity Supply Industry (NESI), with deep expertise in electrical engineering, energy management, and regulatory compliance.

In his current role, he provides strategic leadership for the enforcement of technical standards and regulations governing electrical installations, equipment, and metering systems across the country. He oversees the inspection, testing, certification, and monitoring of electrical infrastructure, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance within the power sector.

Engr. Adesayo has a strong professional background in electricity metering, energy efficiency, and revenue assurance. His career spans key leadership roles in distribution, manufacturing, and regulatory institutions, where he has led initiatives in meter deployment, quality assurance, supply chain optimization, and operational efficiency. He is widely recognized for driving process improvements, strengthening quality systems, and delivering measurable cost savings.

A Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE), he has played a significant role in shaping national metering standards, including serving as Chairman of the Nigeria Metering Code Review Panel. He has also participated in several international trainings and conferences on metering technologies, quality management systems, and power sector operations.

He holds a master’s degree in information technology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, and other professional certifications.
