A Taskforce on monitoring of Transmission – Distribution interface of existing electricity networks has been set up by the Management of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA). The Taskforce which is chaired by Engr. Usman Momoh is to among other things identify the challenges at the interface points between Transmission and electricity Distribution networks nationwide. The Taskforce is also expected to make practicable recommendations to the utility companies and the MD/CEO NEMSA, on the implementable solutions to address the identified challenges that would guarantee safe, reliable and sustainable electricity power supply in the country. Inaugurating the Taskforce in Lagos, the Minister of State for Power, Dr Goddy Jeddy Agba stated that the setting up of the taskforce was both timely and vital considering the incessant disruption to electricity supply and spate of electrical accidents in the country. Dr. Jeddy Agba noted that the success of the Taskforce would go a long way in ensuring that the existing electrical installations in Nigeria are in regular fitness to safely generate, transmit and distribute reliable electricity to consumers nationwide.​
