The Federal High Court sitting in Benin, Edo State, has struck the suit filed by Eco Engineering Services Limited challenging the statutory right conferred on NEMSA to inspect and certify all electrical materials in the country under Section 6 (a), (c), (d), (f) and (i) of the NEMSA Act 2015.

Following the termination of the suit, electric concrete poles manufacturer has duly complied with legal and statutory regulations for testing and certification of its high and low tension electric concrete poles for use in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI). It has, consequently, now received the required provisional certification to produce electric concrete poles for use in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI).

This case highlights the wisdom of Government and the National Assembly to provide highly technical and technology driven legal safeguards for safety of lives and property as well as deployment of electrical installations across the country in accordance with best practice.
