Commercial Service Directorate Brochure

The NEMSA Act of 2015 (part 2, 6(u)) mandates the Commercial Services Directorate to “Provide non-core and ancillary services for commercial opportunities and drive in the NESI”.

The Directorate is saddled with the responsibility of:

• Coordinating and providing service leadership;
• Coordinating warehousing services.

To easily attain this mandate, the Directorate is divided into the following departments:

Business Development and Investment

  The Business Development and Investment department is saddled with the following responsibilities:

• Business Plan preparation and maintenance
• Presentation of warehousing services;
• Maintaining and sustaining clients through business relationship management;
• Prompt response to clients complaints;
• Clients enquiry processing and submission of proposals to management;
• Client agreement management liaising with the legal department;
• Customer satisfaction monitoring;
• Market survey and analyses;
• Price survey and competitive billing review;
• Budget Preparation for Commercial Services Directorate;
• Data Base Management of clients;
• Analysis of all internally generated revenue(s) by Warehouse(s).

Warehousing department

  The Warehousing department is saddled with the following responsibilities:

• Coordinate the operations and management of the Warehouse(s);
• Management of equipment and general facilities in the warehouse(s) for improved efficiency and client service;
• Prompt preparation of client letters for payment or leasing of warehouse space;
• Resolve customer/client queries in record time;
• Careful acceptance, storage and issuance of clients materials;
• Diligent documentation of materials warehoused;
• Efficient space management of materials for optimization of asset;
• Adequately preserved and secured materials in the warehouse(s).
