The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has approved the appointment of a new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer and Board Members for the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA).
Under the approval, Engr. Adesayo Olusegun Michael has been appointed as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of NEMSA.
The President also approved the appointment of the following individuals to serve on the Board of the Agency:
Engr. Aliyu Abdulazeez – Executive Director (Technical)
Ikechi Clara Nwosu – Chairman (South East)
Zubair Abdur’rauf Idris – Member
Igba Elizabeth – Member (North Central)
Sani Alhaji Shehu – Member (North East)
Adeyemi Adetunji – Member (South West)
Engr. Emmanuel Eneji Nkpe – Member (South South)
Engr. Charles Ogbonna Asogwa – Member (South East)
These appointments reflect the Federal Government’s commitment to strengthening leadership and governance within NEMSA, the agency responsible for enforcing technical standards, regulations, and safety in the Nigerian electricity supply industry.
NEMSA remains committed to its statutory mandate of ensuring the safety, reliability, and integrity of electrical installations and infrastructure across the country, while supporting the sustainable development of Nigeria’s power sector.
